Working with us

BIM.Technologies is currently looking to hire Digital Construction Specialists to join our existing team, based throughout the UK. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely (from home, or office where location allows), but is expected that the successful candidates are flexible in regards to location. It is important to note that the role will involve significant travel within the UK to meet our client and project requirements.

We are searching for a candidate who has 3-6 years practical experience (more is a bonus) as an Architectural Technologist or Engineer (or similar) involved with, or delivering live BIM enabled projects.

Candidates must be passionate about digital construction and be able to work independently; however possessing the ability to integrate and work as part of the weird and wonderful BIM.Technologies team will also be essential!

Job Description and Responsibilities

At BIM.Technologies, we are fortunate enough to work with a wide variety of clients, providing an extensive list of technical and strategic services to them and their project teams. In light of this, the role will be varied and constantly evolving, and as such the applicant may be required to carry out a number of the following roles:

• Advising and helping clients understand their goals in relation to BIM on projects and at a company level
• Arranging and leading BIM strategy meetings and various workshops
• Author and review BIM standards and execution plans
• Provide technical support to project teams
• Run and create clash detection reports and meetings
• Working with planners to create accurate and detailed construction sequences (4D)
• Helping project teams deliver asset information models to the clients specification
• Review and validate asset information models
• Deliver asset data in the form of COBie or similar
• Champion and promote BIM to our clients and project teams
• To apply post project evaluation to the BIM process to ensure continual improvement.

Job Requirements

• Positive, highly motivated and enthusiastic individual who is happy to work independently and as part of a team where required
• Ability to manage deadlines and be responsible for delivering work of a high quality to our clients
• Fluent in written and spoken English – must be confident speaking and presenting in front of clients and large project teams

Essential Skills

• It is essential that the applicant is an advanced user in one or more of the following 3D design authoring packages: Revit, ARCHICAD, Bentley AECOsim
• Must have a firm and demonstrable knowledge of digital construction, UK standards and guidelines
• Understanding of construction contracts, design and procurement
• Sharing knowledge to demonstrate and promote best practices internally

Software Experience

Experience with one or more of the following software packages is required, but training will be conducted internally to bridge any gaps, where relevant to fulfil the technical requirements of the role. Attitude and a passion for digital construction however will be valued more than software knowledge:
