BIM.Technologies worked alongside Great Portland Estates to define the BIM strategy and requirements for the 148 Old Street project. During Stage 3, BIM.Technologies worked closely with the design team to ensure a coordinated set of information was released to the tendering contractors. BIM.Technologies were then novated over to Wates, who is the main contractor on the scheme – Under Wates, BIM.Technologies continued their role as BIM Coordinator and Information Manager, ensuring a fully coordinated set of models, including model input from the Façade, Steelwork, SFS, and AV/IT sub-contractors.
148 Old Street is a 152,000 sq. ft. office redevelopment situated over 11 floors. Located on Old Street with collaborative, light-filled 21,000 sq. ft. floors including double-height spaces overlooking private courtyards and terraces on every floor.
There will be a new 4,800 sq. ft. main entrance with space for a café and tenant lounges. The building is due for completion Q4 2017.
