YY London 30 South Colonnade

Location
London

BIM Technologies provided digital support during the transformation of one of Canary Wharf’s original buildings, now reimagined as YY London.

Formerly known as 30 South Colonnade, the building was originally designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and completed in 1991. The redevelopment is being led by a joint venture between Oaktree Capital Management and Quadrant, with the new design by Buckley Gray Yeoman. It represents one of the most ambitious retrofit projects in the capital, stripping the existing structure back to its frame, building a new central core, and extending it with three new floors.

The result is a striking, contemporary office building that delivers 415,000 sq ft across 17 levels, including floor-to-ceiling glazing and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views. YY London has been redeveloped with a strong focus on sustainability and wellness. Designed to be net zero in operation, it features an all-electric strategy and has achieved BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Platinum certifications. The extensive use of terraces throughout the building encourages access to outdoor space and natural light.

Alongside high-quality office accommodation, YY London now offers a mix of ground-floor amenities including restaurants, food and beverage outlets, and communal event spaces - making it a vibrant destination at the heart of Canary Wharf’s next chapter.
